Skyborne — A Case File for Rivers of London: The Roleplaying Game — FREE!

The cover of the Skyborne adventure

And we’re back with another original Rivers of London: The Roleplaying Game case file for other game moderators and players to enjoy! It’s called “Skyborne.” Here’s the synopsis:

As officers or consultants for the Special Assessment Unit affiliated with the Metropolitan Police, you spend most of your time keeping the Queen’s peace among the civilian population. But not today. You’re dispatched via a special agreement with local military authorities to respond to an incident at Northolt, an RAF base in West London. Two exemplary pilots were behaving suspiciously and have disappeared without a trace. Clues are scant and base officials are baffled. Investigators, is this case serious, or just a flight of fancy?

A few of my players and I were actually military brats and we lived on RAF bases quite a long time ago. It’s a great setting for supernatural adventures!

I think there’s still no licensing arrangement that allows for publishing this adventure as part of a community marketplace such as the Miskatonic Repoitory at DriveThruRPG, but that’s okay! This adventure was great fun and I’m giving it away for free! It’s worth something, but for those game moderators who want to run it, it will cost you nothing but your time. I wish you and your players a thrilling adventure.

You can download this free case file now.

It’s 30 pages of content, including introduction, story notes, characters, locations, and handouts. For those of you who are experienced game masters, it should be plenty to get you going. Of course, it’s your game, so deviation or elaboration are expected. Remember to add, delete, and change in whatever way makes it the best fun for your group!

I have two requests.

  • If you play the game and you enjoy it, please drop me a line and let me know. My email address is in the README and the PDF.
  • Since we can’t yet publish Rivers of London: The Roleplaying Game adventures in a community marketplace, please consider visiting my author page on DriveThruRPG and looking at and maybe purchasing my Call of Cthulhu adventures or maps.

Happy Gaming!
