Here’s looking at you, kitten.
It’s the golden age of Hollywood, and behind the glitz and glamour, studios crank out movies at a breakneck pace. It’s exciting to some, but only vaguely interesting to you. Why? Because you’re a cat, the best kind of animal there is or ever was. Maybe you’re the pet of a movie star, companion to one of the crew, or just a stray mouser that prowls the studio lot. Life is good, and nine lives are better. That is, until uncanny and mysterious forces turn easy living into a deadly game of cat and … something.
Furry feline, intrepid investigator, you may be just one cat nap away from the big sleep!
Now available on DriveThruRPG, “Catsablanca – A Feline Noir 1940s Mythos Mystery Adventure” is a special one-shot scenario set on the Warner Bros. Studio lot during the filming of one of the greatest movies ever made, Casablanca (1942). It originally designed for and is compatible with Cathulhu: Velvet Paws on Cthulhu’s Trail, in which the investigator characters are all cats. (Game masters, you’ll want to understand that system to make the most of this scenario and run a smooth game.)
Why does this adventure exist? Well, it all started because …
- I wanted to run a special one-shot around Halloween for my players that was a bit different from our typical Call of Cthulhu games
- I wanted to learn a new system, Cathulhu, and my players said they’d like to try out playing cats
- Casablanca is my favorite film
- The wordplay hijacked my brain
And it was all worth it! Sharing it with the world so other game masters can run this is a bonus.
This adventure is for 2-6 players and takes approximately 3 hours to play.
